Building permits granted for Stade and expansion in Bremerhaven, further locations in planning.

The successful privately run properties, havenhostel Bremerhaven and havenhostel Cuxhaven, in operation for 10 and 5 years respectively, are getting an addition. Project developer and operator Jens Grotelüschen is confident that the first guests will move into the new properties at the end of 2020.

Under the motto: "The climate is right - a home for all". Whether city trippers, business people, group travellers or family holidaymakers, the hybrid havenhostel concept offers the right retreat for every type of guest.

The havenhome Bremerhaven, designed as a boarding house, serves as a complement to the existing havenhostel Bremerhaven. The 81 micro-apartments, all equipped with kitchenettes, offer long-term guests accommodation in the 3-star-superior segment in Bremerhaven. A coworking area for collaborative work and a laundry room for guests are located on the ground floor of the four-storey building. Two suites with access to the western and eastern roof terraces are planned for the top floor. All administrative areas, such as reception, lobby, dining room, office and conference areas are available in the building of the adjacent havenhostel Bremerhaven and can be shared by the havenhome's guests.

The planned havenhostel Stade, a new hotel with two building levels, four storeys plus a staggered storey, will also continue the hybrid concept with 100 rooms and 260 beds and offer all types of guests a new, fresh accommodation option in Stade. While rooms in the 3-star-superior hotel segment will be offered, 22 flats are planned for student living, giving students the opportunity to find a home for one or more semesters at special conditions. Family rooms, a comfortable suite with its own balcony and two conference rooms on the top floor round off the coherent havenhostel concept.

The aim of the project developer GROTELÜSCHEN & WEBER AG is to realise up to 10 further havenhostel locations in the next 5 years. The focus is on northwest Germany, but expansion into European coastal regions is not ruled out.
